2022 Many Electron Collaboration Summer School
Organizers:
Emanuel Gull, University of Michigan
Andy Millis, Flatiron Institute
The 2022 Many Electron Summer School will be held at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics June 20-24 (arrival June 19th, departure June 24th) and will be preceded by the Coding Workshop (June 17-19). Applicants may attend one or both; if space is limited, preference will be given to applicants attending both. The Summer School will focus on downfolding and solving microscopic models, including developments in all orbital embedding theory, and on phenomena including the new understanding of the electron gas, superconductivity and Moire materials, and students will present their own research. The school will also include a visit to Brookhaven National Laboratories and the opportunity to interact with scientists at the synchrotron beam line and the OASIS facility. Travel and local expenses will be covered and students will be lodged individually (one person per room). Participants will be required to show proof of vaccination and adhere to Covid precautions required by the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics.
